With literally hundreds of televisions available, how do you know which one to choose? Luckily Cheap LED TVs are here to cut through the jargon and help find the best TV for you!
Prices range from less than £100 to many thousands of pounds and you’ll know your own budget. But if you know where to look you can pick up a first class 40 to 43-inch TV for less than £300, with 50 to 55-inch models available for less than £500.
Are ‘Own Brand’ TVs Any Good?
Most people have a TV made by one the ‘big four’ – Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba – and there’s a reason why they’re the market leaders.
Supermarket brands can’t match them for picture quality and features, and the chances are any money you save will go towards buying a new telly when they wear out.
What Do All These Letters Mean?
HD-Ready, Full HD, HD Ready 1080p, 4K, Smart TV – what does it all mean?
Smart TVs are simply those that connect to the internet. If you want to reduce your living room clutter and take advantage of streaming, apps and On Demand services, they’re the way to go. If you subscribe to a paid service though, ensure it’s available on your new TV!
Those other letters mean picture quality. 4K TVs have four times as many pixels as HD models and will give you much better resolution. We have 4K models for less than £300, so they’re worth considering if you’re upgrading.
Curved Screens: Are They Worth it?
Televisions with curved screens are starting to filter down from high-end models to the mass market, with manufacturers claiming they can turn your living room into an IMAX.
We reckon you only get the benefit if you sit dead straight facing the screen, and most living rooms aren’t like that!
Is Now the Right Time to Buy a New TV?
You’ll see some heavy discounting in the January sales, but this is often retailers trying to shift unwanted poor stock.
At Cheap LED TVs our prices are low for life, not just for Christmas.
