For example, putting your television above a fireplace could mean that wall is too cluttered and could look messy. Also, having a television above a hot place is generally a bad idea!
Make sure that when you position your television, it isn’t being obstructed by objects such as tables and bookcases; it also needs to be at the correct distance, otherwise it could cause a lot of strain on your eyes.
Be Careful of the Windows!
One of the most annoying things that can happen with regards to televisions and windows is the amount of glare that can occur on the television screen, especially with the fact that we are in the summer months and the effect will be even more pronounced.
One way to tackle this is to have some curtains or drapes covering the window so that there is no glare on the television. This will improve the picture quality and it will look a lot better for your guests who used to have window glare obscuring their favourite shows! Just make sure that you position your television so that it isn’t obstructed by sunrise and sunset.
