My Cart - The release of the new Star Wars film might only be one week away but we’re already thinking forward to next year. With trailers of movies due out in 2016 already starting to appear, we predict that we’re going to be arranging regular trips to the cinema next year.
2016 promises to be bigger and better than ever and we’re so ready! Here is just a taste of some of the movies that are definitely on our “must watch” list.
Captain America: Civil War (April 29th)
This upcoming American superhero film is the third installment of the Captain America films and the thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The film takes place after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. After another international incident involving the Avengers ends with a lot of collateral damage, the government decide to introduce a system of accountability – a governing body that will oversee and guide the Avengers. This causes problems within the team and leads to two opposing teams – led by Captain America and Iron Man. With Tony Stark supporting the government decision and Steve Rogers firmly against, is war about to break out between the two former friends?
With Iron Man being a main character in the new Captain America film, and appearances from Black Widow and Ant Man, we can’t deny that it makes us even more excited for the film. It’s definitely not one to be missed!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25th)
We’ve mentioned a Marvel superhero film so it wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t include a DC one too, right?
This film sees Gotham City Vigilante Batman travel to Metropolis’ in fear of what might happen to the world if superhero Superman is left unsupervised and unchecked. With conflicting opinions on what type of hero the world really needs, Batman and Superman are soon at war with each other. However, as a new threat starts to rise, these two superheroes must work together to stop something much more sinister and evil.
The film is the first live action feature film to include both Batman and Superman, as well as being the first ever theatrical film to include a live portrayal of Wonder Woman – who we’re very excited for.
The Secret Life of Pets (June 24th)
Okay, who has ever spared a thought to what our pets get up to whilst we’re out of the house? Don’t deny it – we’ve all been curious! Well, with this new animated comedy from illumination Entertainment, you finally have your answer.
Max the terrier is frustrated, annoyed and upset when his human owners bring home a new pet – Duke the mongrel. Despite this, they eventually learn that they must work together after discovering that Snowball the white Rabbit is putting together an army of unwanted pets and declaring war on all pets that have owners.
If you’re a fan of animated films, then we think you’ll definitely want to see this one. It’s worth taking the kids to see!
