In the same Ofcom report, UK subscriptions to various streaming services were 31 million, increasing from 20 million the previous year and still rising. April 2021 marked a landmark in UK streaming as people are now watching a combined total of 115,00 hours of content.
Amazon Prime Video catalogue alone is 41,000 hours of that total, ahead of Netflix with 38,000 hours of content. Their competitors combined don’t reach that total; this clearly shows the amount of attention the UK is putting into their chosen streaming packages.
